Back in August we were at the Crown Plaza hotel in Managua enjoying our buffet breakfast when an incredibly stunning woman walked into the dining room. Everyone clapped and cheered. Little did we know the night before she had been crowned Miss Nicaragua. 🇳🇮

And tonight Miss Nicaragua, Sheynnis Palacios of Diriamba won the title of Miss Universe 2023!!! 👑

Sheynnis is the first contestant from Nicaragua to win the Miss Universe pageant. 🤩

We sure do love that we live in a place that allow

We sure do love that we live in a place that allows us the opportunity to see sunsets like this any night of the week. But we gotta tell ya, life in Nicaragua isn't always picture perfect or easy.

Today our water reserve tank ran dry. For the second time in a month! 😠

To avoid having to pay another $50 USD for the water delivery truck to come problem solver Gordon had an idea.

He suggested we siphon some water from our pool into the tank, so we could wash our dishes and flush our toilets. So that's what we did! Problem solved; for today at least. 🙃

Here's hoping that Enacal has fixed the issue and we wake up to a full tank of agua tomorrow! 🤞🏻 And if not, oh well, bucket showers aren't so bad! 💦🚿 🪣
