  1. I have a question. I am accompanying a group of youth on a mission trip to Cuidad Sandino in July. In the event that I need to are the following medications available OTC?
    Ciprofloxacin
    Chloroquine
    Azithromycin
    Loperamide
    If you could reply please do. Thank you

    1. Hi Levering:

      I am familiar with all of those medications (except Chloroquine) and know they are available over the counter. If you are going to be in Cuidad Sandino for the duration of your trip you will not need Malaria medication. The only place you would need it is if you’re going to the East Coast of Nicaragua.
