Hola & welcome!

We’re Gordon and Elisha. A Canadian couple living a relaxed life in the colorful beach town of San Juan del Sur. We sell real estate and help people relocate. If you’re looking for information on life and travel in Nicaragua you’ve come to the right place!

A Glimpse of Our Daily Life

🚨 WAIT! WHAT? A new home with solar power, a private well, a workshop AND a plunge pool for under $200K in San Juan del Sur? 😲

Yup. That's why this one caught our attention too!

While many properties focus on the view, this one comes with the practical features that make everyday life in Nicaragua easier:

☀️ Solar power when the grid goes down
💧 Your own private well
🛠️ A separate workshop for projects and storage
🌴 A plunge pool
🐕 A fully fenced yard for dogs, kids, gardens, chickens ... whatever your dream looks like.

Located in El Oro, just minutes from the center of town and the beach, this newly constructed home offers 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 1500 square feet of indoor living space, and a 1500 m² lot.

And if that's not enough space? The lot next door is available too!

This isn't a luxury mansion pretending to be practical. It's a practical property that's actually pretty awesome.

Offered at $199 000 USD. ✨

Meet the Tafoya family! 💗

They came to San Juan del Sur from Las Vegas, ready to find a place to call home. After exploring a few different options with us, they quickly found the perfect fit: a 3-bedroom ocean-view villa with a large private pool, just minutes from town. 🌴🌊

Last week, Elisha had the pleasure of showing them around town, and naturally, a coco frío stop was in order! 🥥

Alisha and David, thank you for trusting us to help you find your happy place in San Juan del Sur.

We’re excited for your next chapter and feel grateful to be part of your journey! 💙🙏🏻🇳🇮

Wake up to monkeys in the trees, tropical birds, and nothing but nature around you. 🐒🌿🦜

This fully furnished duplex gives you plenty of flexibility. Live in the cozy upper home and rent the private lower suite ... or keep it free for when friends and family come to visit.

Peaceful, private, and one of those properties you really have to experience in person.

We'd happily have our morning coffee here every day. ☕🌴

Reach out if you think this could be your kind of place!

Thinking about buying or renting a motorcycle in Nicaragua?

Here are a few things to know before hitting the road:

🏍️ Helmets are required by law.
🪪 Riders need a valid motorcycle license.
💵 Moto insurance costs approximately $35 USD per year.
🚦The current maximum speed limit for motorcycles is 40 kmph (on highways). Don't let the old speed limit signs fool you.

Whether you're zipping around town or venturing beyond the nearby beaches, a motorcycle is a fun and practical way to experience Nicaragua.

In fact, if you ask Gordon, he'll tell you it's hands down the best way to see the country. 😎

One of our favorite parts of what we do is getting to connect with such interesting people along the way.

Meet Chris! 👋

He recently made the move to Nicaragua from Oklahoma, after spending much of the last 20 years living and working in Tanzania.

He decided it was time to slow things down and start a new chapter here.

Now he's settling into life in San Juan del Sur with his adorable new sidekick, Milo. 🐶

Chris, we're so happy you're here!

Wishing you and Milo lots of new friends, plenty of unforgettable sunsets, and many great adventures ahead.

Thanks for letting us be a small part of your journey. Bienvenidos! 🇳🇮 ♥️

Our favorite Nicaraguan event of the year has come

Our favorite Nicaraguan event of the year has come and gone—Palo Lucio 2026! 🇳🇮🎉

The climb began at 1 PM, and after more than two hours of determination (powered along the way by Joyita and cervezas) the white flag at the top of the greasy pole was captured at 3:23 PM. 🏳️

Felicidades to the entire team, with a special shout-out to lsmael, who braved the crazy height and heat to go to the very top of the pole and claim the flag. 💪🏻👊🏻

Until next year, Palo Lucio! ❤️

Can't wait for more excitement and fun on the 24th as Gordon and the rest of the team take on the challenge of climbing the pole! 💪🏻
